Charlotte Morby - Teaching Assistant and Compliance Administrator
Charlotte’s journey into the SEND sector began 18 years ago. While working as nanny, she was inspired by a particular child’s journey. She supported her through multiple health conditions and global developmental delay, learning lasting lessons about slowing down, celebrating small steps, and the power of person centered care. After raising her two daughters, she returned to SEND, carrying those lessons into her work every day.
She finds greatest reward in working closely with young people and building genuine connections. As a Teaching Assistant for Sense Education, she supports schools that need extra help, while her role as Compliance Administrator allows her to help find the right SEND teaching assistants to support those same young people.
Charlotte was drawn to Sense Education by their clear commitment to SEND and felt listened to and valued from the very beginning. A thoughtful comment from Esther about her natural fit for autism-based classes made her feel truly seen, as these are the environments where she feels most at home.
In her dual role, she supports SEND students both hands-on and behind the scenes. She works directly with learners of all ages four days a week and meets new candidates face-to-face to ensure safeguarding, suitability, and strong communication skills.
Charlotte holds a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies, has completed two NSPCC safeguarding courses, is a qualified swimming teacher, and plans to complete a Makaton course. Outside of work, she recharges through yoga, cold water swimming, and time in nature.
