Support Staff

We have a variety of positions working with young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You could be working 1:1 with a pupil, or in small nurture groups of five pupils. We look for people with existing experience and also people with experience from other backgrounds - so if you have a passion for helping and coaching young people with SEMH then please do get in touch today.

Working with young people with complex needs is highly rewarding. A complex needs environment is nurturing and creative, and you will gain experience of working alongside a number of professionals. The pupils can benefit from sensory play, hydrotherapy, music therapy, and art therapy, amongst other activities. As a Complex Needs TA you will be expected to support the sessions. If you have a caring approach and are adaptable, then we would love to hear from you.

We have positions to support young people with autism. If you have prior experience, or experience from other industries, and a passion for helping people with autism, then please do get in touch. We have positions across different school settings, working 1:1 with pupils and also in small nurture groups. Previous behavioural management experience can be useful, but we invite people from all backgrounds.

If you are a TA looking to further your career or you are a qualified HLTA, then we have positions in a variety of school settings which will give you further exposure to different teaching environments. You could be leading small teams of TAs or leading lessons in the absence of teachers. This is an exciting next step in your career.

Pastoral Support can be a crucial role within the staffing structure of SEN schools, you could be a link to the wellbeing of pupils. If you are an experienced TA or have experience from a health and social background, a pastoral support role could be an exciting new step.
