Sense Education

Lynne Haydock - Compliance Administrator

Lynne’s journey into the SEND sector was inspired by a close family member who was a passionate primary school teacher who celebrated every child’s achievement, big or small. Growing up, she didn’t always feel that she ‘fitted in’ socially or academically, but a strong work ethic and a belief in supporting others stayed with her. These inherited values led her to work in Pupil Referral Units, and discovering the profound impact of the right guidance and care.

What keeps Lynne in the sector is witnessing the challenges SEND children overcome with the support of families and teachers. She finds it deeply rewarding to be part of a team where everyone—whether working directly with students or behind the scenes—shares the same goal: helping young people with SEND thrive.

She was drawn to Sense Education for its shared values, collaborative spirit, and genuine care for both staff and students. As a Compliance Administrator, she ensures candidates are fully checked and ready to work safely students with SEND, helping place the right people in the right environments so learners can be nurtured, supported, and inspired.

Lynne holds a degree in Business and Computing and a PGCE in Further Education.

Outside of work, she loves diving into books – her collection already numbering over 1,000. She enjoys visiting the theatre, supporting local productions and attending book festivals. She also enjoys cheering on a local Rugby League team with her husband, finding energy, joy, and inspiration in these moments of community and leisure.
