Do you believe every child deserves to feel safe, understood and celebrated for who they are? Are you patient, compassionate and motivated by making a real difference – every single day?
We’re working in close partnership with a large, specialist SEND school and we’re looking for a Disability Support Worker who genuinely cares about supporting pupils with additional needs to thrive.
As a Disability Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including Autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities and complex needs.
You’ll be working alongside experienced teachers, key workers and support staff to help pupils feel confident, included and empowered – both in the classroom and beyond.
This is not just a job. It’s a chance to be a calm presence, a motivator and sometimes a child’s biggest cheerleader.
You don’t have to have all the experience – just the correct values.
Monday – Friday
8.30am – 3.30pm
Term-time only
Whether you’re experienced or just starting out, we will provide guidance and ongoing support every step of the way.
Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
