SEND Primary Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Penrith. With an immediate start.

The position is to support in a class with pupils with additional needs. You will be supporting the teacher and working with three other TAs in delivering lessons tailored to the pupils ability.

The school has a holistic approach to learning considering the pupils educational and development needs. You will be supporting pupils with EHCPs or pupils that are going through analysis for an EHCP. Lessons are dynamic, fun and creative.

The ideal person for the role

• A passion for working with young people at EYFS or KS1
• Passion for working with young people with Autism and other additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Could come from an Educational Background or Social Care or a Graduate
• Childcare or  TA qualification or a Degree is a bonus.

School hours are 8.30 – 3.30 – we are looking for someone who can work full time but we will also consider part time.
