  • Helping students to develop essential life skills, both inside and outside the classroom
  • Providing encouragement, praise, and support to help build confidence and motivation

  • A compassionate and adaptable approach to working with children, understanding their needs and encouraging their independence
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
  • A positive and proactive attitude to problem-solving and supporting children in a variety of learning situations

The School

The school provides a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children with a variety of additional needs. Based in Whitehaven, the school offers a calm, nurturing atmosphere where each child is treated as an individual, and their strengths and needs are recognised and supported. The aim is to enable every pupil to access education in a way that is meaningful to them and empowers them to achieve their potential. Through a combination of personalised teaching and a focus on life skills, students are given the tools they need to succeed and thrive, both academically and socially.
