The role
As a Reception Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) who have specific learning and emotional needs. Your role will involve providing tailored support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), assisting with sensory needs, and offering emotional regulation strategies to help them navigate the school environment.
You will collaborate with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging activities and support individual children’s learning journeys, ensuring that each child’s needs are met with kindness, patience, and understanding. You will be instrumental in creating an inclusive learning environment, where every child feels valued and supported in their development.

Hours
The role is full-time, with working hours from 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. We also welcome applications for part-time roles.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
