Esther Bagattin - Director
Esther’s journey into the SEND sector began in inner-city London, where she worked as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist SLD school. As the school’s Swimming Co-ordinator, she combined her love of swimming with water therapy to support pupils’ development. Growing up alongside foster siblings with Autism and SEMH shaped her lifelong passion for advocacy and supporting young people to navigate education and society.
After graduating from university, she moved into recruitment, where she found the perfect way to combine her professional expertise with her commitment to SEND. She finds nothing more rewarding than connecting schools with teachers and TAs who will make a genuine, lasting difference in young people’s lives.
Esther co-founded Sense Education alongside Maddie, driven by a shared passion for finding exceptional people who can positively impact SEND students across the UK. In her role, she focuses on growing both the team and the business, ensuring Sense continues to support schools with care, integrity, and purpose.
Esther holds a BA in English Language and Religious Studies, alongside qualifications in TEFL and Safer Recruitment.
Outside of work, she feels most energised when spending time in nature with her family and her dog, Chase. She loves travelling, speaking Italian with her bilingual family, and exploring gourmet food wherever she goes.
