EYFS – Teaching Assistant

This inclusive and caring School in Penrith is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This role is full time and to start immediately and is ideal for someone with a nurturing, patient nature and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting children through play-based learning and structured activities
• Help to create a safe, fun and engaging environment where children feel happy and supported
• Encouraging social and emotional development through positive interactions
• Support the teacher in providing learning opportunities to ensure all children reach their potential
• Working 1-1 or in small group settings

The Ideal candidate:

• Experience working with young children in a school or nursery setting(school, tutoring, childcare or similar)
• Put children’s safety and wellbeing first
• Be highly motivated and committed
• Teaching Assistant qualifications either apprentice, level 2 or 3

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm (term time only)
• Full-time

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
