Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? Do you have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We have full time and part time post 16 teaching assistant roles, working with a team of teachers and TA’s.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. As a post 16 TA you will provide one-to-one and small group support to students in lessons. The students you support will have EHCPs with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties, You will work to foster independence, confidence, and academic progress for our students.
The ideal person will have experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary or secondary school setting, or a strong interest in pursuing a career in education. They will have a good understanding of SEND and inclusive education practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young people.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
