This school provides a nurturing setting where every child is cherished, supported, and seen for who they are. We are seeking passionate and flexible Supply TA’s (Teaching Assistants) to join the supply team, supporting pupils with complex needs and working across the school as demand requires.

The Role

• Step in to support classes on a flexible basis.
• Assist with delivering differentiated learning activities, tailored to individual EHCP targets.
• Support pupils in communication, behaviour, sensory needs, and self‑help skills.
• Observe, record, and feedback on pupil progress and behaviours.
• Foster a calm, encouraging presence and adapt support according to day‑to‑day pupil needs.
• Be prepared to work with rigorous safeguarding, personalised planning, and multi-disciplinary teams.

About the Ideal Person & Required Skills / Qualifications

• You have experience working with those with additional needs perhaps in support work, care, health or related fields
• You show empathy, patience, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn
• A qualification or background in education, health, social care, care work, or related fields.

About The School

The school’s ethos is to ensure pupils are safe, happy, and positively engaged in learning. All pupils have an EHCP and present with a range of needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism, and physical or sensory challenges.

Hours

School hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. We welcome flexible availability.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
