Midday Supervisors – SEND

Support, Educate and Nurture. Sense Education are passionate about helping young people and improving the learning journey for young people with SEND.

We are currently looking for Midday Supervisors to join our team to work in a SEND school in the Kendal area. We are looking for consistent and supportive Midday Supervisors who have some experience with young people or adults with disabilities. The role will be to support the pupils during lunch time with eating and playtime. The positions are 2 hours a day 11:30 – 13:30. We are looking for people who are flexible and great communicators, to be able to work part of a MDSA team and communicate effectively with the pupils.

The role

This is a meaningful position impacting the lives of young people. The position will require

  • Organising lunchtime, setting up tables and organising feeding
  • Help pupils during lunch times with feeding, the role could be in primary or the secondary part of the school
  • You will be helping young people with additional needs such as Autism, Global development delay, Down Syndrome and physical disabilities.
  • You will be expected to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and compassionate way
  • Training will be given for the position
  • This role is 8-10 hours a week
