Support, Educate and Nurture.
We are currently looking for a part time or full time EYFS Teaching Assistant. The position is to start after half term.
We are looking for someone from an EYFS background to support a pupil 1:1 and also in class.
The role
- You will be working as part of a support team assisting the teacher in delivering lessons planned specifically for pupils; needs.
- Using play and creativity to engage the pupil
- Contribute in creating a safe and nurturing environment
- You may be expected to fill in reading and learning journals
- Report back to the teacher effectively
- Assist at lunch and snack times
- Support student in outside play activities whilst allowing space for independence
- Work alongside therapists such as speech and language therapists and music therapists to support the students educational and mental wellbeing
The ideal applicant
- Will ideally have a childcare qualification or experience of working with young people at EYFS level
- Willing to create strong relationships with staff, students and care providers
- Passionate about working with young people with SEND
- Great team player adding positivity to the staffing team
- Flexible and reliable
School hours are 8:30 – 3:30 Monday to Friday.
Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. we undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis.
