Reception Teaching Assistant

Support Educate and Nurture.

We have a new position in a reception class in a primary school. The class requires an extra Teaching Assistant / Early Years Practitioner to support.

The class has pupils with additional learning needs that require 1:1 support from someone who is caring and attentive to assist them.

The position is in a vibrant primary who have a strong staffing team and strong core values in helping pupils with additional needs.

The ideal person for this role

  • Will have a knowledge of EYFS curriculum
  • Passionate about helping young people through play and creativity
  • Adaptable to individual pupils needs
  • A great communicator to communicate effectively with the staffing team and parents when required
  • Ability to write reports on the pupils progress when required
  • Support in speech and language sessions
  • An understanding of Autism

We are looking for someone who can start ASAP after half term. School hours 8:30 – 3:30. We will consider people Part Time and Full Time.

SEND training will be given and additional CPD training once in the role.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. we undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis.
