The role
In this Part time SEND Teaching Assistant role, you will be working with students who require additional support in a mainstream primary school setting. Your role will involve working with small groups and providing 1-1 support to students with a variety of needs, including emotional regulation and sensory circuits. The role will be diverse and rewarding, allowing you to contribute positively to the students’ development and learning.
The ideal person
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable individual who is passionate about working with children and helping them reach their full potential. To succeed in this role, you should have either a relevant degree or teaching assistant, childcare or early years qualifications. Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable. You should also have a strong understanding of the importance of emotional and sensory regulation for students’ overall well-being.

Hours
The role is part-time, with school hours being 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education, you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
